It may just be because of the way it grew out from under the leaf tip. Give them a few weeks and see what happens. Cross pollination would have nothing to do with it being as its a copy made by a leaf...

It's two leaves fused together - somehow when they started something when awry. I get them every once in awhile. Not sure why....they are always noticeable because they are so much larger.
